Yes, Lexie Lumen Hearing Aids offer a degree of water resistance. This means they can be exposed to very light moisture, like rain and sweat.
You should try to keep your hearing aids dry and protected from prolonged exposure to moisture.
If you think your hearing aids have been exposed to too much moisture or have moisture damage, you can place your hearing aids (remove the batteries first) in a small airtight container with drying crystals for at least 24 hours, but not more than 72 hours before you use them again.
Prolonged exposure to moisture can permanently damage your hearing aids.
When you buy a pair of Lexie Lumen Hearing Aids, you get a carry case, a battery starter pack, an ear measuring tool, different lengths of slim tubes, domes of different types and sizes, a brush with a magnet and a wire for cleaning, and drying capsules.

To take calls, try holding the phone speaker slightly above and behind the ear so that it is in closer proximity to the microphones.

This Bluetooth feature allows commands such as volume and or Environment changes to be transmitted wirelessly from the Lexie app to your hearing aids.
NOTE: If the Bluetooth function is switched off on your smartphone or tablet, you won't be able to transfer app adjustments to your Lexie hearing aids.
We support the latest versions of iOS® and Android™.

There are three parts of your hearing aid that you should clean regularly: the body of the hearing aid (the part that goes behind your ear), the slim tube and dome.
You can use a brush or dry cloth to clean the body of your hearing aid.
To clean the slim tube, follow these steps:
- Unscrew the slim tube from the body of your hearing aid.
- Insert the cleaning wire at the point where your slim tube attaches to your hearing aid.
- Push it all the way through the slim tube and pull it out from the other end.
- Repeat this if the slim tube isn't clear.
To clean the dome, use a damp cloth. If a lot of debris has collected inside or around the dome, we recommend removing the dome from the slim tube and using the cleaning brush (provided) together with the damp cloth to clear the wax from outside and within.
NOTE: If you use hair products or use your hearing aids where they are exposed to a lot of dust and dirt, you can use a lightly damp cloth to clean the hearing aid body.
Even with proper care, your Lexie Lumen Hearing Aids' parts will eventually need to be replaced due to normal wear and tear.
By replacing these parts, you'll keep your hearing aids working at their best and ensure the best possible sound quality.
We recommend replacing:
- Domes every 3 months.
- Slim Tubes after 4 - 6 months of regular use.
TIP: If your slim tube starts to harden and turns yellow, the sound quality of your hearing aid may be affected. When this happens, it's time to replace your slim tube.
When it comes to keeping your Lexie Lumen Hearing Aids clean and in good shape, it's important to keep the battery compartment clean.
Over time, tiny particles and moisture can build up inside the battery compartment, making it hard for the battery to connect with your hearing aid's contacts. This might lead you to think your battery is dead or your hearing aid is broken.
To avoid this, make it a habit to check the battery compartment daily, and clean the inside of the battery compartment if you notice a build up of debris. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away any debris. Avoid using a damp cloth or wet wipes, as they might damage the delicate parts.
To keep your hearing aid moisture-free both inside and out, we recommend using drying crystals or an electronic hearing aid dryer. When using the dryer, remember to remove the batteries and leave the compartments open during the process.
Your Lexie Lumen Hearing Aids will alert you when the battery life is getting low. Here's how:
- Your hearing aids will play a voice prompt saying "battery low", letting you know it's time to replace the batteries.
- If your hearing aids are connected to teh Lexie app, you can also check the battery life of your hearing aids on the app.
Once the "battery low" alert is triggered, your hearing aids will last for around one to two hours. This gives you time to replace the batteries.
Each battery can provide up to four days of use, assuming you use both hearing aids for 14 hours a day.
TIP: To get the most out of your batteries, make sure to leave the battery in the open battery door for five minutes after removing the sticker. This allows the battery to fully activate and can help extend its lifespan.
A zinc-air battery requires exposure to air before the battery is activated. Once you have removed the tab allow the hearing aids to be exposed to air for up to five minutes before using the battery by switching your hearing aids on.

The following domes are included with your Lexie Lumen Hearing Aids:
- 3 x Pairs of open domes (Size small, medium, large): These are better for when you have trouble with the sound of your own voice. These domes allow more external sounds into your ear. The hearing aid may seem a bit quieter when you wear one of these domes but it should still sound natural and clear.
- 3 x Pairs of double domes (Size small, medium, large): These domes allow more sound to reach your inner ear and reduce feedback. Your ear may feel more blocked.
- 1 x Pair of tulip domes (One size): Your hearing aid comes pre assembled with a tulip dome. This is the most versatile dome and accommodates most ear canal sizes (it only comes in one size) and amplification needs.
When you do the in-app hearing test on the Lexie app make sure your hearing aids are fitted with closed domes.
Your Lexie Lumen Hearing Aids come pre-assembled with a size 2B slim tube.
Each slim tube is color-coded making it easy to see which hearing aid they fit on.
Blue is for the left ear and red is for the right ear.
You can tell what size your slim tubes are by the code printed on them.
There are four different sizes of slim tubes available for the Lexie Lumen Hearing Aids; 0B is the shortest and 3B is the longest slim tube.
To get the best fit and comfort, use the ear measuring tool included in your Lexie Lumen accessories box. It helps you find the correct slim tube length for each ear.
If the tube is too short, it may press on your ear or pull the dome out. If it’s too long, the hearing aid might feel loose or slip off.
Each ear may need a different size, so measure both for the best fit.
Follow these steps to change your slim tubes:
Removing the Slim Tube:
- Hold the hearing aid body firmly in one hand.
- With your other hand, grip the base of the slim tube (where it connects to the hearing aid).
- Gently twist the slim tube about 90 degrees counterclockwise, then pull to remove it. TIP: Remember to twist the attachment, not the tube itself.
Attaching a new Slim Tube:
- Line up the opening of the new slim tube with the pin on the hearing aid.
- Gently push the slim tube onto the hearing aid until it clicks into place. TIP: Don't over tighten it, as this can damage the slim tube.

TIP: When changing the slim tubes, do one hearing aid at a time to avoid mixing them up.
